Department Profile:
Department of Nutrition was established in academic session 2012-2013 .The main focus of the Department of Nutrition is to interface between human nutrition and food science, besides this there are major scope to know about advanced nutrition, Community nutrition and nutritional deficiency, clinical and therapeutic nutrition, food processing and technology, advances in food microbiology ,nutritional biochemistry etc. B.SC course in Nutrition is based on applied heath sciences to meet the emerging needs and challenges of the society.
The present curriculum and syllabi have been revised and updated in accordance with UGC rules and regulations. In this syllabus Internship training is a great scope for the students which will help them in future job related programs such as Dietitian, Nutritionist, Health educator or Public Health Nutritionist in various sectors etc.
