Department Profile:
Geography, often called the "mother of all sciences," provides a foundation for understanding Earth's physical features, climates, ecosystems, and human interactions. Its strength lies in studying the interrelationships between physical and cultural elements of the environment. The Geography Department, established in 1949, introduced an Honours Course in 1965. It offers B.A. and B.Sc. programs under the Choice Based Credit System (2017-18) and NEP2020 (2023-24).
